Fire Station Shiraz

Craneford’s cellar door proudly calls the site of the old Truro Country Fire Service Station home. So it only seemed fitting that we dedicated our best wine to the Barossa’s finest; the Country Fire Service volunteers and to the finest varietal the Barossa Valley produces. Made from the most supreme parcel of Shiraz for the vintage, it is a wine above all and the icon of the Craneford range.

Fire Station Shiraz 2009

$135 AUD per bottle

Shiraz grown in the Barossa Valley gives a wine that is highly concentrated, lush and complex, with intense fruit flavour of black berry fruits and rich spice, giving the wine the ability to age for many years. This Shiraz displays a rich deep purple red almost black colour. The nose is intense and appealing with sweet spice and oak, fruit cake and black berry characters. The palate is concentrated with black berry fruit characters which are complemented by smooth velvety tannins from the well matched oak that is subtle but still making an impact. Overall this wine is intense, complex giving a true example of a very special Barossa Valley Shiraz.
