Stay – Angels Rest

Bed and Breakfast from $95.00 AUD per night

Angel’s Rest was built in 1850 and until 1880, housed shoemakers, a cabinetmaker, the Telegraph Office and Post Office. For the next 50 years, the house was a residence, known by locals as 'Angels Rest' as the owners would take in wandering travelers. In 2007, the cottage was converted into the Angel’s Rest Bed and Breakfast.

Old world charm, combined with the luxury of modern comfort and convenience, this bed and breakfast is a peaceful haven for the weary traveler or wine trail adventurer. Unlike most bed and breakfast accommodation, this home is spacious and fully self-contained. A self-catering continental breakfast is provided complete with cereals, artisan bread, juices, fruits, jams and fresh country eggs. Tea, pod coffee and milk are also included.

The lower level features a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge with a large screen tv (wifi and pay-tv), and an eight-seater dining table. Step out from the kitchen into the courtyard filled with plants, and outdoor table & BBQ. The courtyard can be secured if required. Children and pets are welcome if house trained and of a quiet nature.
The cottage features two bathrooms for your comfort and convenience – the lower level with a shower, basin, toilet and a laundry, equipped with washer and dryer. Upstairs, the bathroom is designed in the Victorian style, with a claw foot bath and brass shower fittings. The master bedroom and second bedroom have king size beds, fitted with high quality linen, and luxurious cushions. The main bedroom overlooks the courtyard and tiered gardens. The third bedroom features a comfy single bed with room for a cot (portacot supplied upon request).

What a lovely setting, This place is really pretty. Set in a quaint little country town. The people in the cellar door are very friendly and were pleased to take us through the list of wines. Highly recommended.
